Christmas with lots of snow at Baqueira Beret
Around 150,000 skiers have sped across the snow at the Val d’Aran and Valls d’Àneu resort between 25 December and Sunday 7 January. The weather has been unsettled but all the skiable kilometres and ski lifts were available on most days during the Christmas holidays.
From spectacular snowfall just before the end of the year to mild temperatures during Epiphany week, Christmas always brings variable weather conditions. The Val d’Aran and Valls d’Àneu resort has been open every day of the holidays with an average of 130 skiable kilometres and practically all its ski lifts in operation. This meant the approximately 150,000 skiers who visited the resort between 25 December and 7 January were able to have fun right across the open skiable area covering2,166 hectares at Baqueira, Beret and Bonaigua.
